Uniting Mirinjani Residential Aged Care in Weston, Canberra has undergone a significant refurbishment, expanding the facility from 48 to 62 beds. Okane has been involved from the first conversations, steering the planning and delivery of extensive upgrades across six wings, including two extensions to accommodate the increased capacity. All resident rooms have also been thoughtfully reconfigured with a private ensuite for greater dignity and independence.
Pre-planning began in 2021 and as the project tracks toward its 2026 completion, our on-site team continues to lead design coordination, procurement, delivery and contractor management. Works are staged carefully around residents and staff, keeping daily life steady while the building shifts around it. With clear communication and oversight, we’re helping shape a more comfortable, future-ready facility. Doing so with the calm, considered presence this setting deserves.
